My name is Jackie and even though I, thank God, have never been diagnosed with cancer, it certainly has hit close to home. My grandmother was a 37-year breast cancer survivor before her death this past summer (not of cancer!), my great-grandmother had bone cancer, my grandfather had a cancerous lesion on his kidney, my mother-in-law died of ovarian cancer and my father-in-law is a prostate cancer survivor.

My dream is that my 1-year-old daughter will never lose her grandparents or parents to any kind of cancer. And that's only going to be possible with groups like Women Playing For T.I.M.E. leading the way to defeat this deadly disease once and for all.

I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you better and learning what we can all do to make a difference in the lives of thousands!

Hello to all the amazing women that I know will find through this website - as I have - a strong group of women (not to mentione awesome opportunities to get your vitamin D)

Last week I quit my job and found an amazing new opportunity in the medical field. For those people that are not happy with thier job and nervous about economic conditions - Don't hold back! There's a ton of opportunity.

    Hi Lindsey,
Thx for reaching out to the community.  We all have to go for it, or otherwise, we will never know of the possibilities. I look forward to hearing from you again.

Hi Jackie,I share in your dream, but my kids are older (29 and 27).  They lost their Grandmother to cancer.  Their Grandfather has had several different bouts with it, but is still a survivor.  Yes, WPFT can make a difference if we all contribute.  Thx for your comments.  Molly

Thanks! You're making me blush. I'm working for a boutique medical diagnostic company, Acrometrix, selling quality control vials mostly for blood assays. I'm training now with books that go way past my 10th grade biology. I haven't had a highligher in my hand in a while; but it feels good to move out of that Don Henley song, 'Dirty Laundry' where I was selling industrial laundry programs and my heels were melting into the pavement. Thank you for your support!

    Hey Lindsey,
I'm so glad to hear that you made the decision to 'leave the dirty laundry behind'! I'm really excited for you and hope the experience, for however long it lasts, will be great for you!  They are lucky to have someone with your energy, passion and drive. Knock 'em dead!
    Best of luck to you!
