1. Why is it important to you to be on the Pink Dragon Boat team?

It has been exciting being part of a team of ladies who have won the same battle I am battling at the moment. The Pink Dragon Boat team lets us work as a team to "slay the dragon" that we all have had to go up against with breast cancer. The team encourages each other even though we have only known each other for a short time.

2. What activities or hobbies do you enjoy?

I enjoy many activities and find I have juggle them to have time for them all. I play tennis on a team, I enjoy racquetball, scrapbooking, flower gardening, and pressing flowers for cards. Now I have a new passion: Dragon Boating!

3. If you could have dinner with a famous person, who would it be?
President John F. Kennedy was a very influential person during a very critical time in our nation's history.

4. Who is the person that has had the biggest influence in your life?

My parents have had the most influence in my life. They have been very supportive in life with any decision I made. I was a shy child and they always encouraged me to go beyond my comfort zone. My parents would always find something positive to say to me during my childhood. I learned the importance of hard work from my parents. We worked hard but always had fun once the work was done.

5. What would you like the team and WPFT to know about you or those in your life?

I have been married to my college sweetheart for almost thirty years. We have three wonderful children. My oldest son is serving in the Army and is married with a little girl. My daughter is finishing her last year in college. My younger son is a junior in high school. I am an assistant principal in charge of the sixth grade in middle school and curriculum for the whole school.
