Women Playing For T.I.M.E. Wins Big at ING Honor Awards
Posted February 10, 2010, 9:11 amWomen Playing For T.I.M.E. was recently honored with the Tournament Service Award for its contributions to the golf community at the 17th ING Annual Industry Honors, which some have called the “Academy Awards of the golf industry.”
The ING Industry Honors program is conducted annually by the non-profit, 20-year-old International Network Of Golf to recognize outstanding achievement in the golf business. WPFT was honored for their dedication to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research and programs at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Orlando through their signature golf tournaments held throughout the year.
The awards ceremony took place during the Industry Honors Presentation Press Conference at the PGA Merchandise Show, which was held at the Orange County Convention Center on January 29. “Women Playing For T.I.M.E. is proud to be recognized for our success. We are passionate about using the game of golf for a greater purpose: to defeat cancer,” said Elaine Lustig, chair and co-founder. “It has given us a platform to raise money, educate women, and ultimately save lives.”
