WPFT, Orlando Rowing Club & Warriors On Water Unite

In July, Women Playing For T.I.M.E. and M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Orlando, hosted an incredible evening to introduce members from the Orlando Rowing Club to teammates of Warriors On Water, Central Florida's first Pink Dragon Boat Team. It was an exciting night for everyone.

The evening began with Dr. Clarence Brown and his wife Ann, providing a tour of the cancer center. The tour was followed by a cocktail reception, where short presentations were made by each group. Our good friends from Winter Park Magazine sent photographer Julie Fletcher to cover the event. In case you did not see our feature in their magazine, I have included several photos below that were graciously supplied to us by Winter Park Magazine.

As the evening concluded, it was clear we achieved our goals for this gathering. Together, we united as circles of influence, who share a passion for water, sport, team, support and finding a cure.  Women Playing For T.I.M.E. is proud to co-sponsor Warriors On Water, Central Florida's first Pink Dragon Boat Team, who will debut at the Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival being held at Walt Disney World Resort on October 17, 2009. 

We thank the Orlando Rowing Club for sharing our vision and sponsoring an additional dragon boat team of "supporters" for the event. It should be an awesome day and I hope that friends of WPFT will come out to show their support too.
