Why is volunteering important to you?
When I moved to Orlando a few years ago, I realized very quickly how special Orlando is. The community is deeply focused on what they care about and are willing to stand behind those cares, and each other. I value that attitude, and it is in line with how I have committed myself and my time throughout my life. I believe wholeheartedly in giving of time, talent, or money whenever possible as my way to show gratitude who live in service of others.
What is your favorite WPFT Event?
I still do not play either golf or tennis. However, my favorite events are anything that has the WPFT sisterhood working together. Each type of event has such wonderful personality, and energy. This speaks to the dedication of the volunteers, the Foundation, and the commitment of M.D. Anderson to find a cure for cancer.
If you could speak to every women being treated for cancer, what would you say?
In the midst of the emotion, struggle, energy depletion, family concerns, and overwhelm, please remember that you are not alone. We are your voice while you are fighting, and we are committed to spreading the word about this type of struggle so that it won't strike more times than necessary. Thank you for being our motivation!
What would surprise most people to learn about you?
My background is in television production, and I have lived in both New York and Los Angeles for the 20 years before Orlando. I have had the most incredible "Hollywood" experiences in my lifetime including attending all major awards shows (favorite was the Oscars,) interviewing over 3,000 celebrities (no kidding!) and owning a successful production company for ten years. My clients are Academy Award, Emmy, and Grammy winning entertainers.
What is your favorite pastime?
By far, it is playing "mom" to our two boys who are 12 and 7 years old. Turns out, I AM good at sports...just as team mom, not on the field!
Is there anything else you would like to share?
I currently work as a Media Coach and Executive Coach with clients from coast to coast. I so enjoy bringing out their best to help make them more powerful leaders, speakers, and personality brands. I am passionate about helping others to be all they are capable of, and stepping into their personal and professional best.
