Getting Ready For Lake Nona

I hope everyone is getting ready for one of the best WPFT events of the year – The Lake Nona Golf Event taking place on October 26 & 27! As the Chairperson of this year’s Lake Nona event, I can tell you I’m excited and scared to death all in the same breath!

I’m excited because we have Annika Sorenstam as our keynote speaker. And if you haven’t heard the news, Annika is a new mommy to baby Ava Madelyn McGee.! We are so excited to have her speak with our group of women golfers.  

I’m also excited because Mercedes Benz of Maitland has agreed to sponsor our putting contest this year, and the winner will take home a new Mercedes with a two-year lease!

I want to thank everyone in advance for their help and support - Elaine, Andrea, Lynda, Suzi, Shelia, and Mary Bryan – you are great to work with and I appreciate your helping me pull it all together.  If you know Suzi, you know the food will be fabulous and if you know Shelia, you know the table baskets will be outrageously fun!

It will be a fantastic two days of golf, fun and enjoyment all for a great cause…partnering with M. D. Anderson to defeat cancer and help women and their families in Central Florida.

The field is almost full, but we still have a couple of openings for singles and 1-2 foursomes, so spread the word. If you know anyone who is interested in playing, please contact Lynda Canatay at 321-841-2272.
