Today, we held another fantastic meeting for the members of Women Playing For T.I.M.E. It was so good to see everyone again! As we worked our way through our busy agenda, it became very apparent that it’s going to be another exciting year for our organization. We have a lot of work to do and I wanted each of you to know how much I genuinely appreciate your continued support.
One thing that amazed me during this year’s meeting was the number of new volunteers that have joined Women Playing For T.I.M.E. Thank you Lynette Reynolds, Shari Bartz and Adora English for making all of our new volunteers feel so welcome. We are so excited to have fresh new faces joining our cause to support MDACCO to defeat cancer and help women and their families in Central Florida.
I did miss seeing some of our more senior members at this meeting. I hope they make it home from the mountains, beaches or wherever their travels have taken them and participate in many of the exciting events that are being planned. I think they will be very proud and surprised by how much has been accomplished. I love catching up and hope to see these gals again soon.
September and October promise to be a very busy months for all of us. There are so many exciting events – the Bloomingdale’s Walk, the Hope Hike, Saks Fifth Avenue Key To A Cure/Fine Dining, The Lake Nona Signature Golf Event, Tennis Events, and the Pink Dragon Boat Races at Walt Disney World. It was very special to meet several of the Team Members from Central Florida’s first Pink Dragon Boat Team Warriors On Water and we are excited to support them at their inaugural event.
Information about all of these events is available here on the website and WPFT community. I know that over the coming weeks and months many more exciting new stories and photos will be shared here. Please plan to visit WPFT.org often. We look forward to reading your stories and comments and viewing the great photos!
Thank you again for the strong show of support at the WPFT Fall Meeting. And, thank you for remembering my beloved Seymour. He was truly one of T.I.M.E.'s greatest supporters!
I love all of you dearly…
EL
